Through our Young Development Entrepreneurs Apprenticeship Program we offer young Nepali an opportunity to gain experience in development by working together with our team of young, dynamic and creative professionals. As a member of our team, you will be involved in our day to day work focusing on meaningful tasks in one or more of our strategic areas while learning more about development entrepreneurship and expanding your skill set.
As an apprentice, you will...
- Learn how to conduct research, write and present information in a strategic, engaging and creative way
- Develop and implement innovative solutions to address pressing development challenges in Nepal from start to finish
- Conduct outreach and support the organization of events
- You will be supervised by a dedicated mentor and receive support from our team.
- You will be provided with practical and well-structured learning opportunities, such as Skill Building and Knowledge Labs
- You will get a basic allowance
- After the completion of your work with us, you will join our Alumni Network and Bikas Udhyami will be your reference
We are looking for someone who is…
- 20-30 years old
- Nepali citizen
- Ready to make 3-6 months full-time commitment
- Recent Bachelor or Master graduate in any discipline or currently enrolled in Master studies
What other qualities do we care about?
- Good verbal and writing skills in Nepali and English
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative
- Interest to tackle Nepal’s development challenges

" Working at Bikas Udhyami has been a very memorable experience for me. The enthusiastic colleagues who added to the upbeat working environment at the workplace everyday made work feel less effort and more fun.
It was not just about the 9am-5pm time duration where we did our assigned works, but also the discussions we had as a part of our apprenticeship development program and during our lunch breaks, I loved sharing as well as listening to what was being shared. I felt motivated to contribute more by pushing ideas or suggestions or critique whenever I felt the need to.
